Types of Markers

Slant markers are usually about 18 inches tall and sit flat on the ground with the front of the stone angled back, creating a wedge shape.

Bevel markers, also known as pillow markers, are usually about 8 inches thick and lie flat on the ground at the head of the grave and rise above the grass.

Flat markers, which are sometimes called “grass markers,” lie flat on the ground at the head of the grave, flush with the grass.

Bronze markers are similar to flat markers where they are flush with the ground. These are mainly used in memorial parks, but can also be used in traditional cemeteries.

Slants, Bevels, and Flat markers are all placed upon either a granite or a concrete foundation.
